What's Going on in Orlando
This March
Plenty and action-packed –
these words define what’s happening in Orlando FL for the coming months,
especially this March. A number of
things have caught our eye like the grand opening preparation of a new and
intriguing store, captivating shows – on stage and in the sky, and food
festivals that involve more than a feast of delectable food and exquisite
drinks. Below is a list of what’s
brewing in Orlando this March.
Coliseum of Comics: Coming
very soon
Address: 515 E. Altamonte Drive in Altamonte Springs,
FL 32701
Because of the innovations
in technology, this present generation has been coined the “screen age”. Aside from computers and TV sets, most people
rely on their smartphones not only for entertainment and work related things,
but also for almost everything – keeping track of appointments, capturing
special moments, even reading books. A
lot of electronic books, or more commonly known as e-books, are available
online. Does this mean that “real books”
are starting to get extinct?
Just when people think that
books are starting to get outdated, think again. Phil Boyle, the CEO of Coliseum of Comics,
has already started to execute his plans of making Altamonte Springs one of the
coliseum’s new homes. Similar to the
setup of the stores in five other locations, the shop in Seminole County will
have a wide collection and variation of books, memorabilia, and action figures. It is going to be a haven for the young ones
and the young-at-hearts who have the thirst for fiction, action and adventure.
Aside from selling comics
and toys, the Coliseum of Comics is also encouraging those who are
contemplating on saying goodbye to their book collection to take the latter to
the coliseum for assessment. There is a
great possibility that these loved books would not go to waste. If approved, the collection would first be
bought by the coliseum, then sold at the store and, eventually, find its new
home in the hands of another comic lover.

Disney World: Hollywood
Studios presents Star Wars Theme
Address: Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, FL 32830
Contact Number: (407) 939-5277
Hours of Operation: (Check out their website for specific
operating hours of the different parks and attractions)
Just when people thought
they have seen everything about Star Wars, they should definitely check out the
wonderful surprise that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is brewing for Star Wars
fanatics.
People who are aspiring to
be a jedi or a jedi master, or even a stormtrooper would be thrilled to watch
this new onstage production entitled “Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away,” which
is being perfected this March in preparation for the Star Wars theme launch on
April 4, 2016. There will also be
special appearances from some popular Star Wars characters like Darth Vader,
Chewbacca, Darth Maul and Kylo Ren as Hollywood Studios showcase Star Wars
highlights.
The fun doesn't end when the
stage curtains close. A platoon of
stormtroopers would be marching from Star Wars Launch Bay all the way to Center
Stage. This march is going to be led by
no other than Captain Phasma, a famous stormtrooper character from “Star Wars:
The Force Awakens”. The procession will
occur several times every day.
To end Disney’s new Star
Wars theme with a literal “bang”, a spectacular fireworks show can be
appreciated at night. Aside from the
typical fireworks display, spectators will also see pyrotechnics, video
projections, and special effects to set the Star Wars ambiance and wow the
viewers even more. A “tower of fire” and
spotlight beams will also serve as the “lightsabers in the sky”.
According to Disney, this
spectacle will be the "most elaborate fireworks display to take place in
the history of Disney’s Hollywood Studios." With this statement given by Disney World,
this is surely one of the Orlando events today that is worth the wait. To know more about the details of Disney’s
new Star Wars theme, visit https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/.
