Top Orlando Events Today
A lot of people check out
top Orlando events today as they prepare for Valentine’s Day. This is when people make special arrangements
to make their significant others feel how much they care for them.
There are many ways to
celebrate this much awaited day but aside from the romantic events and dining
specials for Valentine’s Day, there are plenty of other fun things going on in Orlando.
There are so many remarkable
events happening now in Orlando even after Valentine’s Day.
Here’s what’s happening in
Orlando this February:
Big Bugs at Leu Gardens
Address: 1920 North Forest
Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803
Phone Number: (407) 246-2620
Hours of Operation: 9 A.M.
to 5 P.M.
The thought of having bugs
all around one’s yard make most people cringe.
What more if they get to see these creepy crawlers up close and
personal, scattered all over a beautiful garden? Fear and disgust will surely
be replaced with awe as visitors of Leu Gardens walk around and enjoy the sight
of the gigantic bug sculptures displayed at the botanical garden.
This exhibit called “Big
Bugs” created by David Rogers, does not only showcase art and beauty created
out of wood. It also teaches its
spectators the difference between spider species and insect species. There’s a free Insect Hunt Adventure Guide
made available for the adventurous souls.
There is no need to worry because the said guide is easy to follow. It allows visitors to locate each artwork that
is carefully created from trees, branches, and saplings, and discover all the
“hiding” bugs spread around the garden.
Those who wish to view Big Bugs should know that the exhibit runs until
April 15, 2016. Aside from these giant
bugs and insects, find out what else has landed at Leu Gardens by visiting

Magic is one of the few
things that people will never outgrow.
The mystery of the impossible and unexplained never ceases to amaze both
young and old. There are magic acts that
are done by mastering very quick movements of the hands, thus, can be very
deceiving to the human eye, but there are acts that require skill, talent, and
training. One of which is a very old act
- one where a lot of people have risked their own lives. This act is called sword
swallowing.
Sword swallowing is an
ancient magic art or skill that started in 2,000 BC, almost 4,000 years
ago. It is an art to those who can do
this trick. Since more and more people
are into the said art and are successful in executing it safely, this artistry
is, therefore, far from extinct. On
February 27, 2016, sword swallowers will entertain audiences with their
dangerous acts as they do free performances to celebrate the World Sword
Swallowers Day 2016 at Ripley’s Odditorium in Orlando. Know the science behind this magic. Save the date and take note that even if the
Odditorium opens in the morning, the “Big Swallow” will take place at 2:27
P.M. This act is only one of the several
amusing things to do in Orlando today.
