Check out these promising entry level jobs in Orlando FL today!
YMCA is an organization that opens its doors to everyone in the community and gives them a chance to learn, develop, and succeed.  They equip their students how to live healthy, educate them about their social responsibility, and guide the children in their continual development.  They are one of the companies hiring in Orlando today that offer both long-term employment and summer jobs.  In addition to these, they also offer growth and a fun and bright future to those who would be qualified to be a part of the YMCA team.  YMCA in Central Florida is made up of more than 2,000 staff scattered among the 27 family centers.

1. Before School Co-Teachers of YMCA Middle School Programs
This program offers different clubs and on-site activities where children have tons of fun and learning before and after school hours.  Since the schedule of these programs vary by site, it is best for applicants to have flexible schedule and availability.  At present, application for co-teachers in the following locations will be immediately processed:

Discovery Middle School
Address: 301 Woodbury Road, Orlando, FL 32828

Union Park Middle School
Address: 1844 Westfall Drive, Orlando, FL 32817

Some responsibilities of successful candidates include planning of other unique programs to be offered, advertising and promotion of the different clubs for student enlistment and retention, and providing a safe environment for the students.  Commitment to their schedule is also a must, together with making sure that the class is fun.  Though not required, it is highly preferable for the people who would be holding this position to make themselves available 3 days a week for after school programs.

To be accommodated for this post, you must be free to work from 1:30 P.M. to 6:15 P.M. every Wednesday.  There ought to be the desire to work with children and the skill to communicate with both the students and their parents.  Another requirement for this post would be a certification in First Aid or CPR.  If you meet most of the criteria but do not have First Aid certification, know that you can go through training at the Central Florida branch, which provides the said training for those who want to be certified.

2. Co-Teachers / Youth Mentors / Child Development of the YMCA Before and After School Elementary Programs
This is a year-round position that ensures the effective and organized flow of the elementary programs, supervises students from levels K to 5, and guarantees the success of the program.  This curriculum promotes the nurturing of the child’s physical, social, emotional, and spiritual growth in a safe environment.  Regular before-school working hours are from 7 A.M. to 8:30 A.M., while after-school hours are from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M.  There are three shifts for this position: before school, after school, or split – the latter being a combination of before and after school hours.  During summer, successful candidates have the option to work eight to ten weeks in the Summer Camp.

If you are enthusiastic, committed, and responsible, this post might be the right job for you.  If you are burdened to positively impact children, have the desire to supervise and work with them, and can effectively communicate with them, you can turn that passion into action by applying for this job vacancy.  If you don’t have certification in CPR/AED and First Aid, you can check out the training conducted by YMCA.

Here are the YMCA locations that have an immediate need of people for this post: Wyndham Lake Elementary and schools in Winter Park, Lake Nona, and Windermere.

3. Camp Counselors
If you are 16 years old and older, accountable, reliable, have experience in child care for at least 6 months, have the desire to create lasting friendships, want to be a part of a cause with lifelong effect, and want to make the most of your time from April until August, read on and see if you have what it takes to be a camp counselor.

Taking the lead is one of the main roles of this job.  Camp counselors make sure that the students have learned the rules, daily schedules, and traditions of the program.  They ensure that the students are abiding by the program regulations.   Since they are the ones who directly supervise the children, these leaders also discuss the progress of the children with their respective parents.  This is one of the reasons why having exceptional communication skills is one of the requirements of being a camp counselor.  As leaders, they may have the privilege to work with junior camp counselors or those undergoing counselor training as they provide insights and direction to these younger leaders. Ensuring the safety of the children and guiding them are another set of the major responsibilities as camp counselor.

Since YMCA is all about effecting positive change in the lives of others, they are careful to search for staff who are natural leaders, excellent communicators, work well alone and with others, and passionate and enthusiastic about what they do.  For company benefits, compensation, and more details regarding these job openings, you can check out the careers in their website www.ymcacentralflorida.com.
