Fitness Training: Great Thing to Do in West Orange FL

Fitness Training: Great Thing to Do in West Orange FL

One of the exciting things to do in West Orange today is to stay fit by signing up to fitness training.  In spite of the online fitness programs that are readily available in a few keyboard strokes, there is much to benefit from having a personal trainer that can greatly contribute to the success of one’s program.  To know where and how to begin is foundational. This can be determined through the evaluation of a certified trainer and coach.  This is just the beginning of the benefits that having a personal trainer provides.
Be healthy and fit by doing these best things to do in West Orange FL.
A couple that pursues their passion for fitness and health together, stays together.  It seems like this is one of couple Kim and Marissa Herring’s life mottos.  They are the founders of Trinity Sports Performance and Garage Mama Fitness.  These are two new businesses that offer a wide range of services to people of various age groups with different and varied needs.

From Soccer to Football
Kim is a devoted fan of Tottenham Hotspurs, a famous English football club in Tottenham, London.  He started his journey in athletics as he played soccer.  At age 13, he had the chance to play with the Adidas Select Team.  Kim never played football until high school when he and his family relocated to Cleveland.  His college days at Penn State allowed him to lead a career in the National Football League for nine years.  He became involved with Baltimore Ravens, St. Louis Rams, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

From Gymnastics to Cheerleading
Marissa is competitive in nature.  She was into gymnastics until age 14.  She eventually cheered for Florida State University and Florida International University.  Kim and Marissa met in 1999 at a Super Bowl party in Fort Lauderbale.   Kim was only in Florida for a month and had to leave for training after the off season.  They didn’t meet again until a year later.

Marissa’s competitive nature is also evident as she won four times in the Tri Fitness Challenge under her age division.  Her aspiration to join the said challenge started when she yearns to lose 40 pounds of baby weight.  Kim suggested that she see a trainer.  After the first day of seeing a trainer, Marissa came home with the news that she would be participating in the said challenge in 2007 where she had seven months to prepare.  With real estate as her day job, Marissa did her training during her free time.  Her trainer also suggested that she get certification since she has had a lot of experience and training in athletics.

Garage Days
Sharing what Marissa had learned, she started reaching out to her cousins and friends as she trained them with whatever she can see in the garage.  One classic example of making do with what she had was training by pushing the car.  As she continued to coach and encourage these women, she began browsing on Craigslist and bought used equipment from the said site.

The passion to help others is what drove Marissa to pursue the business.  As she watched herself overflow with energy while enjoying what she eats, she noticed the spark contrast in her friends who were lacking in energy and, to stay “fit”, are not eating at all.  Marissa feels for these women.  She knew that these unhealthy ways can be overcome by healthy diet and exercise.  For those who consult with her, Marissa is straightforward about the challenge to unlearn old habits and learn new ones.  With this approach, Marissa gives these women an idea about what to expect in her training programs.

Birth of the Fitness Centers
As Kim continues to see people coming in their garage because Marissa’s clienteles continue to expand, Kim finally decided it was time to transfer to a facility.  He included a turf area on the said facility that gave birth to Trinity Sports.  At first, Kim and Marissa conducted boot camps where they get to work together by dividing the group in two.  Each of them will facilitate one group, and then switch groups.  At the end of the camp, Kim and Marissa have created workouts together and the couple have fun bonding this way.

Trinity Sports Performance and Garage Mama Fitness may share the same venue, but they offer totally different programs that cater to the wide variety of needs of men, women, and children.  Trinity Sports is owned by Kim where he offers sports training and “man camp”.  The latter is more than just looking good, but getting stronger and having a great time.  Kim also mentors children and focuses on both skill enhancement and character building.  He offers training and conditioning in different sports such as soccer, baseball, football, volleyball, and lacrosse. There is an on-going class called Speed, Mobility, and Speed Training that helps children do better in their sport.  Kim also equips the children about life and not just for college scholarships.

Aside from being a certified trainer who provides personal and small group training, Marissa also shares her own healthful recipes as she offers cooking classes and nutritional coaching.  She encourages people how to live healthy through fitness training and by eating and preparing well balanced meals.  She also conducts summer classes for girls aged 12 to 16 and power camps, the latter being one of the fruitful West Orange events today, which made the business famous for providing amazing results.
