Enjoy a delightful meal in one of the best Cajun-style restaurants in West Orange FL
The Big Easy has been rated as one of the top restaurants in West Orange FL by TripAdvisor.  Aside from the mouth-watering food that this eatery serves, they also provide an airy space and a more relaxed feel especially with their newly renovated dining areas.  The four garage doors, which are all 10-foot tall and open during business hours, provide that open-air feel.  These are some of the new additions to this awesome place.  If you want to enjoy a smooth cup of coffee in the morning, another latest add-on to this eatery is a bar that serves as a coffee bar by day.  The said bar has a dual purpose at night as it inspires cocktail creations and an amazing time whether you are alone, with your special someone or with your friends.

Big and Bigger Space
This recent dining experience upgrade is only one of the few that The Big Easy has already gone through.  It started as a small restaurant that offers authentic Cajun cuisine.  Initially, it was located at a space that was previously occupied by Starbucks.  In 2014, owners Morgan and Misti Jimenez decided to expand and grow in terms of dining space.  They took over the place next door, which was formerly a barbecue place.  Morgan intended to maximize all the space that they have by opening the patio area of the original location.  These overhauls started in December of 2015.  All the renovations were finished by February 7 – the perfect time for The Big Easy to join the Super Bowl celebrations.

Coffee Bar and Cocktail Lounge: All in One Space
By day, the newly revamped space on the original side of the restaurant serves as a wonderful place for morning people.  The Big Easy serves morning favorites such as flavorful coffee, cappuccino, and espresso that go best with yummy pastries such as beignets and muffins.  According to Morgan, there is a popular place in New Orleans called Café Du Monde that serves coffee and beignets and has been serving the community for 120 years.  He wants the West Orange community to experience New Orleans this way – by making available coffee and beignets for those who will be coming in for lunch.  Omelettes, benedicts, and pancakes are classic favorites that are also a part of the menu.

At night, the ambiance is changed resembling that of a sports bar.  Cocktails are served, wireless internet is available, and big-screen TVs are turned on.  There is a stage that is used for music, live performances, and entertainment.  More patio lights attract not only hungry customers, but also those who are looking for an amusing place to eat, drink, and be merry.  The other side of the restaurant, the larger side, is open and offers a quieter place to those who merely want to eat and enjoy some flavorful food.  The Big Easy serves the same menu regardless of the side that customers choose to stay at.

More than a Place for Dining
The Big Easy is more than just a place for lip-smacking food.  It hosts a number of events that cater to the young ones and the young-at-hearts.  At present, it offers an amazing deal that parents will surely love – children get to eat for free on Mondays!  Together with this free food, children’s movies play on the big screen at 5 P.M. and again at 7 P.M.  The Big Easy crowd has experienced and appreciated some awesome musicians who have shared their music in this place such as Gypsy Elise, John Holley, and Layla Brisbois.  If you are the fun and competitor type, you will surely enjoy your food and cocktails during Trivia Tuesdays.  On days when there seem to be no event, you can drop by at this place and see what surprise they have in store for their guests.

It All Started with the Family Recipes
Morgan was born in Houma, Louisiana.  He also grew up there and was able to collect some family recipes.  These recipes are the ones that they currently cook and share with the West Orange community.  The Big Easy specializes on Cajun food, but also offers a wide range of assortments on their menu including ribs, pasta, and meat.

A classic example of a New Orleans experience in West Orange is crawfish.  While this choice may not be on the printed menu, live crawfish are available depending on the season.  They are delivered fresh from Louisiana.  Spicy-sweet to the taste, these crustaceans may be messy to eat, but is something that guests should definitely not miss.  Po-Boy options are also tasty and shareable.  For those who are not familiar with this food that originated from Louisiana, a Po-boy is like a submarine sandwich that includes meat, which can be a selection of fried seafood, roast beef, chicken or ham, sandwiched between a New Orleans baguette-like French bread.  Each order goes with your choice of side dish.  The menu offers a lot of combo sides to choose from.  Gumbos, jambalayas, and crawfish salad are also a must-try in this Cajun-style restaurant.
