Great Events in Gatorland Orlando Florida

Great Events in Gatorland Orlando Florida

Visiting the Orlando tourist spots one at a time is one of the interesting things to do in Orlando today.  These tourist spots are not just any typical theme park, but the kind that even Orlando locals frequent.  Know why Orlando locals keep coming back to this adventure-filled place that offers tons of fun, adventure, and even educational moments.
Feel the fun, thrill, and excitement in these great things to do in Orlando FL.
When others think that Mickey Mouse’s theme park is the only place that can offer exciting Orlando events today, they definitely need to do some more digging and researching about Florida.  Gatorland, the Alligator Capital of the World, is one of the places to go to for people who are looking for some unique and mind-blowing experiences.  It is the home to thousands of crocodiles and alligators.  There are a number of spine-tingling experiences that the guests will take home with them after a fun day at this fascinating place.

Wrestling with the Giants
For those who are looking for a new adventure that deviates from all the influence and intricacies of technology, a heart-stopping show at Gatorland awaits spectators on the sand of the Gator Wrestlin’ Arena.  Surrounded by 12 alligators, guests can wrestle with these reptiles that are eight to nine feet long and have 82 sharp teeth.  The brave soul need only pay $10 for this one-of-a-kind experience.

Be the Trainer for the Day
Another unforgettable moment for visitors aged 12 and above is an engaging experience as they become the trainer for the day.  A day that begins with caring for baby gators, this experience allows the trainer-for-the-day to get up close with the biggest alligators and crocodiles, feed them, and have a hands-on meeting with the creepy crawling reptiles that are featured in the Up Close Encounters Show.  The climax of the training is working with the 12 alligators and crocodiles inside the Gator Wrestlin’ Arena.  This also concludes the training for the day.

This 2-hour adventure can be experienced for $125.  A 20% discount will be given to a group of six people.  Food and beverages are to be bought separately.

Screaming From Above
AOL Travel has voted this next “ride” as the Best Zip Line in the USA.  The Screamin’ Gator Zip Line allows guests to experience this heart-racing adventure of flying high above 1,200 feet from the ground.  This deal enables guests to experience the multilevel launch pads from towers that are as high as a seven-story structure and soar along five zip lines that differ in length – from 230 feet to 500 feet.  Crossing along a swinging bridge and flying over numerous alligators and crocodiles at 30 miles per hour are also some of the highlights of this ride.  Helmets, gloves, and harness are all provided by Gatorland.

Just like the other adventures, there are also guidelines in this ride.  Closed shoes are required, while dresses, skirts, and short shorts are greatly discouraged.  As much as it is tempting to take photos of the wonderful views from above, the safety of the public is one of the main priorities of Gatorland.  Since the zip line will pass over several public walkways and animal exhibits, bringing cell phones and cameras in this adventure is not allowed.  Lockers are available for storage of personal belongings.  The best part is that this incredible adventure can be experienced only for $69.99.  This already includes an all-day pass to the park.

Entertainment for Everyone
Gatorland offers several shows for the whole family to enjoy.  As mentioned earlier, there is Gator Wrestlin’ for the brave and courageous. The suspenseful Up Close Encounters Show make the guests guess what creature will be featured in the said show.  The guests get to meet different animals, including Florida’s very own wildlife and several snakes that are the most dangerous in the world.  Another show that will have the crowd literally standing on their feet is the Gator Jumparoo Show.  In this show, the crocodiles and alligators jump as high as four to five feet as they try to get the food that is being held by the trainer.  It also educates the audience about crocodiles and alligators and their amazing powers.

Not Just for Gators
Reptiles are not the only ones that call this place home.  There is a free-flight aviary that cares for birds of different species including those who are named Extinct or Species of Special Concern.  With this said, photographers and bird enthusiasts would be thrilled to know that there are current deals created especially for them that are surely worth grabbing.  Starting February 4 until June 12, these bird lovers and image experts are allowed to enter the park at 7:30 A.M. from Thursday through Sunday.  They can safely observe these feathered darlings while taking photos that will allow the world to adore and remember these wonderful flying creatures.

Other Deals
Other great deals include a $3 discount per person that is applicable for online purchases only.  A 50% discount on regular admission rates is given to residents of Florida.  For those who wish to celebrate their parties in a unique yet eventful way, Gator Galore Party Package offers admission up to 15 guests, two-hour use of the Gatorland Party Pavilion with the presence of one of Gatorland’s World Famous Gator Wrestlers, an animal program, and unlimited train rides, and an Annual Pass for the birthday celebrator.  Gatorland also offers a scout program for kids that include meeting an alligator up close, scavenger hunt, activity sets, a Gator Safety scout patch, and options for the children’s food.

For those who are courageous enough to face these reptiles, Gatorland is open daily, from Mondays through Sundays from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.  Check out their calendar for special events and changes in schedule.  Visit these birds and reptiles at 14501 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, FL 32837.  For questions and inquiries, call (407) 855-5496.  For more details, disclaimers, and promotions, visit http://www.gatorland.com/.

What’s going on in Orlando today concerning the care of these wildlife is a wonderful indication that Orlando is not only concerned about its community, tourism, and advancement, but also of the future of their natural wildlife.  With all the programs and events that Gatorland offers its guests, it is a good way to prepare the next generation who would eventually be the future stewards of these reptiles and birds.

Gatorland is only one of the many other tourist spots that will let guests experience a great time and an awesome adventure.  To know more about what other adventures Orlando brings, visit www.Explore407.com.
