These top companies in West Orange FL offers great career opportunities!
The Great Move
Fresh Express, one of the companies hiring in West Orange today, has welcomed Governor Rick Scott as this newly relocated company hosted a celebration that marked their move to Florida.  Fresh Express recently moved from Charlotte, North Carolina and is now getting familiar with their new home at The Grove Orlando.  With the opening of this new headquarters in Windermere, Floridians are offered 90 new Fresh Express jobs and 30 positions that address Chiquita’s IT needs.

Fresh express is a subsidiary and the fresh produce and salad division of Chiquita Brands International Inc., the latter being a hundred year-old company that markets and distributes bananas and pineapples.  Some job openings that need filling in are in sales, operations, marketing, human resources, procurement and logistics, and executive management.

Chiquita has also made this great move to Dania Beach because of its nearness to the port area.  Easy access to the port is vital for Chiquita in their receiving and collection of bananas that need to be ripened and distributed.  Another reason for the said move it its closer vicinity to one of Chiquita’s biggest customers, the Walt Disney World.  Due to this move, there are 90 more job openings for those in the South Florida area.

The Sunshine State, a Business State
One of Governor Scott’s goals is to create a great business climate in Florida.  He is determined to continue doing this for a number of reasons.  The first reason is because he wanted to make Florida an even greater and more wonderful place to live, start a family, and raise one.  The second one is so that other businesses would want to make that significant move, just like Fresh Express and Chiquita who are presently offering 200 additional jobs to families in Florida.  The third reason is to achieve the goal of making Florida the first for jobs as made evident in the trend of the businesses in Florida.  At present, these businesses have created over a million jobs in a span of only five years.  The optimistic Florida governor wanted to make sure that they stay on this path of making available more jobs to the people in the Sunshine State.  In the governor’s visit to the new Fresh Express headquarters, he was able to have a tour, meet some of the company’s executives, and personally welcome them to the wonderful state of Florida.

The president and chief executive officer of Fresh Express, Ken Diveley, expressed his excitement in becoming a part of the Orlando community.  According to him, the central Florida area, and the whole of Florida at that, is a great place to establish their offices most especially that Governor Scott is continually building up Florida into becoming a strong business community.  Moreover, Fresh Express is also the only fresh produce company in all of Florida.

The Story behind the Story
In 2015, the Cutrale Group and the Safra Group acquired Chiquita Brands International.  The Cutrale Group is one of the biggest producers of orange juice in the world, while the Safra Group is a global firm that offers financial services.  This acquisition has prompted the move of the companies Fresh Express and Chiquita.

In addition to the reasons mentioned above, the relocation done by Fresh Express was made in Orlando so that it would be closer to the Cutrale Group holdings.  Dania Beach, which is in the Fort Lauderdale area, was chosen for the Chiquita headquarters mainly for the reasons mentioned above – its close proximity to the port.  It has been known that the former CEO of Chiquita was paid millions of dollars for change-in-control provisions when the company went through a great deal of adjustment in workforce in 2015.

Brief History
The story of Fresh Express began from way back 1920s when Bruce Church began working at the produce industry of Salinas Valley.  Years later, Bruce and three other business partners started an ice company and made possible the trade and delivery of fresh lettuce all over the country through rail cars packed with ice.  In 1989, ready-to-eat packaged salads have been available across the country.  At present, Fresh Express still offers, markets, and distributes different kinds of retail packaged salads, fresh produce, and healthy snacks.  There are five other packaging plants all over the country in addition to the Orlando plant.

The Chiquita history started almost one and half centuries ago by its founder Captain Lorenzo Dow Baker. From there, people who got involved with Chiquita were, and still are, careful to observe its environmental responsibilities as they go through each step – from growing to delivery.  At present, over 70 countries all over the world get to taste the freshness of Chiquita bananas.  Facilities for ripening and distribution are scattered across the country.  Major operations are done in Central America and Europe in addition to the Florida head office.

Garden Salad is best consumed fresh.  This freshness can be expected in every pack.  Learn more recipes and know more about the featured products of Fresh Express by going their website www.freshexpress.com.
